The de Duve Institute is a multidisciplinary biomedical research institute housing several research laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Louvain (UCLouvain), as well as the laboratories of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
Inspired by our founder, Christian de Duve (winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine), the 320 researchers, technicians and employees of the de Duve Institute work every day with passion, determination and a collaborative spirit to better understand diseases in order to cure them more effectively.
